When we say “cosmos”, we are talking about everything in the known universe, as well as those things that are unknown but believed to exist. The cosmos includes all the stars, planets, moons, and all the galaxies as a whole. Scientists believe that there are over 7 billion galaxies, so the cosmos is an enormous area. Cosmologists (scientists who study the cosmos) believe that if you could measure the distance to the edge of the cosmos, it would be the same distance in every direction.
