Gadfly
A Gadfly is any fly that bites livestock, especially a horsefly, warble fly, or bot fly. Because a gadfly is so bothersome to the livestock, the word has also come to be used in describing an annoying person. Such a person constantly annoys or provokes others with criticism, schemes, ideas, demands, requests, and questions.
