The Inuit created markers for getting from one point to another--points such as fishing or hunting grounds. These markers are called Inuksuk, and they look sort of like a person. In fact, “Inuksuk” means “one that looks and acts like a person”. Like a person, the Inuksuk could tell someone that they were on the right path. The Inuit have many traditional games that they play. Gather up a few friends, and try out this game that mimics a team of sled-dogs! First, make teams of 2 or more, and hold hands to form a linked line. Then, try to run an obstacle course without letting go of anyone's hands or knocking over any obstacles! See which team can complete the course the fastest, or knocks over the least number of obstacles, or both!
