Weekly Evalution
Each week, the teacher will prepare by reading the section and the magic word, then printing out a copy of the magic word to share with the listeners.

It’s assumed that these sessions will include short reads but lots of conversation and back-and-forth questions. This helps listeners develop their creative learning and thinking by participating actively.

At the end of each session, save 10 minutes or more to evaluate the progress from that day:
-
Discuss what they thought or what they learned. Verbal. Keep track of responses in a weekly log. Action.
-
Listeners could draw or write down what they found most interesting or important from what they heard. Action.
-
Talk about the Magic Word they explored. Verbal.
-
Create an informal WordCloud and gather feedback from students each week. What are the words that come to mind after the latest session? Verbal.
-
What do listeners discuss in school and at home from the weekly session? For example, with Bea, a question could relate to where the student got their name and what it means. Action.
-
Use the “Check on the Changers” 1-10 “smiley face” feedback. “What did you think about today’s time with BEA?” Action.
-
How does reading Bea relate to the other things we are doing at school now? In what parts and in what ways?
-
Keep the FeedbackLog to track the progress. What are the Listeners’ takeaways? Capturing these is fun and helps the Reader and Listeners get the most out of The ChangersAdventures®. Keep in mind the goal is always to help Listeners go beyond what they know and articulate and share what they’ve learned.
